Information Technology and Open Source Software: Issues and Challenges

In order to create awareness about the importance of free and open source software and its various dimensions, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, is organizing a Two ­Day National Seminar on “Information Technology and Open Source Software: Issues and Challenges “on 21st and 22nd September, 2013.

The seminar endeavours to examine the interface between free and open source software, and the legal and human right issues. Academicians, lawyers, researchers, software and hardware professionals, students, members of NGOs and Media interested in the subject are invited to participate/present papers focussing on the following sub­themes:

The topics specified under each of the sub­themes are not exhaustive. The authors interested in contributing to the seminar may write a paper in their area of expertise falling within the broad framework of the main theme of the Seminar.

Registration

The Registration fee is Rs. 1,000/­ for academicians, lawyers, scholars, etc. and for students it is Rs. 700/­. In case of co-­authorship, the registration fee is to be paid by both the authors separately. The registration includes local hospitality except accommodation. However, accommodation can be arranged for the outstation participants on request.

The registration fee is to be paid through Demand Draft in favour of “The Registrar, Hidayatullah National Law University, Raipur” payable at Raipur.

Confirmation of Acceptance of the Paper: 12th September 2013

Last date for registration: 17th September 2013
