Haridwar Food and Drug Administration (FDA) served a notice to Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit on the claims she made in the advertisement which endorses Maggi Oats Noodles. The notice seeks a report from the actress within 15 days on claims made in the advertisement regarding the nutrition value of the Maggi Oats Noodles.
If the actress fails to respond to the notice within the stipulated time frame, a case could be registered against her; according to the sources. Maggi recently came under the scanner after samples collected by Uttar Pradesh Food Safety and Drug Administration were reported to be containing Mono Sodium Glutamate (MSG) and lead more than the permissible limits.
Subsequently, Nestle India, manufacturers of Maggi was asked to withdraw a batch of the popular snack from the market by the authorities in Uttar Pradesh.
