Facebook guide for perfect job hunting

August 28, 2015 by Lex-Warrier in Career Guru, Job Search

Social networking has become a part of our day-to-day life. Many people use social networking sites for various different reasons such as networking, news updates, advertisement and marketing purposes, job search etc. Facebook is the largest and most popular social networking site in the world. Almost 1490 million users are there in Facebook.

Though the primary structure of Facebook is decided for social networking, one can modify his Facebook account so as to impress an employer and to secure a perfect job. Therefore, here we are presenting the Facebook Guide for perfect job hunting.

In order to search jobs in Facebook, the minimum requirement is to have an active Facebook account. If you do not have a facebook account, you can sign up for facebook account here. Once you create a facebook account, next stage is to complete OR modify your facebook profile and to give a professional touch to the same.

Since, most of the recruiters in India as well as abroad conducts a facebook search to review the candidate’s social profiles, it is always important for a person to keep his social media profile neat and clean. Hence, it is recommended to display your professional interests and hobbies in your facebook profile instead of too much of personal interests.

Once you are done with your facebook profile, next step is to network with professional contacts. Getting connected with professionals and industry experts through facebook will help you to increase your visibility over social networking sites. Similarly, you may classify your friends in facebook by creating separate lists.

Further, you are advised to join various facebook groups and like and follow various facebook pages of the businesses or employers you prefer to work for. Follow the Lex-Warrier Official page here for more updates.

Thereafter, you are requested to post comments on various professional topics on various facebook groups, OR to provide comments on various facebook pages or facebook groups where other professionals of your same profession posted comments on any social issues OR issues related to your profession. This way you can increase your social media presence and thereby social media visibility, so that, your profile may get attention among various employers which may lead you in securing your dream job.
