Key Responsibilities

With reference to the Mumbai Legal team you will share GPRO`s Legal responsibilities including (i) preparation and drafting of contracts (ii) negotiations with suppliers and/or customers, (iii) final legal sign off on contracts (iv) creating legal awareness, (v) liaising closely with business owners and other legal departments in the Group and (vi) developing, maintaining and implementing contract templates.

Participation in developing the function

• Facilitate legal compliance activities within the team

• Facilitate interaction with internal stakeholders

• Ensure implementation of Group policies and guidelines in contacts.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Law. The candidate has min. 2-4 years of experience from an internationally oriented law firm or an in-house function in another international corporation.

The candidate should have experience in drafting and advising stakeholders in commercial contracts and able to exercise judgment calls and work out acceptable compromises in a contract negotiation situation, both by e-mail and in physical negotiations.
Experience from working in an international environment is required.
A natural ability to handle a lot on the plate is required still with an eye for details. Service mind-set and ability to build and create credibility and perseverance in negotiations are crucial to succeed in this role.
Given high stakeholder interaction excellent English skills both oral as well as written are required and proven capability in MS Office is expected.
