Master\u2019s Scholarship for European Law"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Dr. Angela Merkel Scholarship; Master\u2019s Scholarship for European Law<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The scholarship programme offers highly qualified graduate students in the field of law to complete a master\u2019s degree programme (LL.M.) and specialize in European Law at selected German higher education institutions.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Who can apply?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The programme is aimed at graduate students in the field of law who have earned a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Law (1st class).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What is supported?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">A one year Master of Law programme in English at one of the following higher education institutions:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/europainstitut.de\/index.php?id=9&amp;no_cache=1&amp;L=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Europa Institut, Universit\u00e4t des Saarlandes: Master of European Integration<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/europa-kolleg-hamburg.de\/auf-einen-blick-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Europa-Kolleg Hamburg: European and European Legal Studies<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fu-berlin.de\/en\/studium\/studienangebot\/master\/mbl_rechtswissenschaftlicher_master\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin: Master of European and International Business, Competition and Regulatory Law (MBL)<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Duration of funding<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2 months German language in Germany (August to September)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">10-month to 12-month study period (October to July or September) depending on course length<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Selection <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Following a pre-selection round, qualified applicants will be invited for an interview conducted by a bi-national Selection Committee at the DAAD office in New Delhi (expected end of January \/ beginning of February 2015).<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What requirements have to be fulfilled?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In general, applicants must have completed a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Law (1st class) at the time of application.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Further to that, the following requirements must be fulfilled by the time of application:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>No more than six years should have passed since gaining the last degree.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants should be residents in India.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants, who have been resident in Germany for longer than 15 months, cannot be considered.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must hold the Indian citizenship.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please note: The scholarship award letter from the DAAD only becomes effective once the holder has been admitted to studies.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Language skills<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Proficiency of the German language is not mandatory at the time of application, but high proficiency of the English language<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Application Procedure<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Please submit two copies of application documents by post:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Printout of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.daad.de\/obdva\/www_echt\/www\/index.html?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online application form<\/a>\u00a0with passport-size photograph andsignature<\/li>\n<li>Full curriculum vitae<\/li>\n<li>Statement about academic and personal reasons for the planned study project in Germany (letter of motivation)<\/li>\n<li>Two recent references from university teachers which provide information about the applicant\u2019s qualifications;
