{"id":4985,"date":"2014-05-25T17:01:42","date_gmt":"2014-05-25T11:31:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/lex-warrier.in\/?p=4985"},"modified":"2023-07-01T15:47:49","modified_gmt":"2023-07-01T15:47:49","slug":"manager-legal-star-india-mumbai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lex-warrier.in\/archives\/manager-legal-star-india-mumbai.html","title":{"rendered":"Manager \u2013 Legal, Star India, Mumbai"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Job Description<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Demonstrated (hands on experience) subject matter knowledge in structuring, drafting, negotiating and closing distribution contracts and transactions; litigation and piracy matters relating to distribution of company channels.<\/li>\n<li>Building contract and compliance checklist and processes.<\/li>\n<li>Research and analysis of various policies, amendments, rules, consultation papers, notifications on TRAI interconnection regulations and distribution related matters<\/li>\n<li>Conduct Due Diligence of anti-piracy agencies, consultants and participate in the DD closure report, drafting and vetting of contracts, representation and warranties, indemnities. etc.<\/li>\n<li>Generally providing proactive and reactive legal &amp; compliance advisory services on legal issues involving the company and group companies<\/li>\n<li>To identify and find ways to reduce legal risk by regular review of the company\u2019s distribution related activities to ensure that they are in line with established policies, procedures and legal and compliance perspective<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Desired Skills &amp; Experience<\/h2>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Good and sound knowledge and understanding of contract law, commercial law and litigation<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated (hands on experience) in contract drafting, good negotiation, and execution skills i.e., ability to draft, negotiate and close transactions independently with minimal supervision<\/li>\n<li>A good understanding and application of TRAI broadcasting and cable services inter-connect regulations, quality of services regulations, the Cable TV Act as amended and Rules thereunder, procedural laws such as CPC, CrPC, and also substantive laws such as IPC, and other economic offenses statutes.
