Academicians, lawyers, researchers, software and hardware professionals, students, members of NGOs and Media interested in the subject are invited to participate\/present papers focussing on the following sub\u00adthemes:<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Free and Open Source Software (FOSS): Trends and Practices <\/b><\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Free and Open Source Software: Concept and Practice<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Free and Open Source Software: Usage and Advantages<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open Source Software vs. Proprietary Software<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open Source Software: Need for a Legal Regime<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Open Source Software and Intellectual Property Rights <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Free and Open Source Software as a Subject Matter for IPR<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open Source Software and Licensing<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open Source Software and Copy Right<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Open Source Software and Anti\u00ad Trust Concerns<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Information Security in a Knowledge Society <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Information Security: The Key Concern<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Right to Cyber Information: The Need of the Hour<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Social Networking Sites and Security Concerns<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ethical Hacking and Information Security<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Information Technology Act 2000: The Emerging Concerns <\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ICT and Data Protection<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">ICT, E\u00ad-Commerce and E\u00ad-Governance<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cyber Crimes and Cyber Privacy<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cyber Investigation and Forensics<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Transnational Cyber Crimes and Information Technology Act, 2000<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The topics specified under each of the sub\u00adthemes are not exhaustive. The authors interested in contributing to the seminar may write a paper in their area of expertise falling within the broad framework of the main theme of the Seminar.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>Registration<\/b><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Registration fee is Rs. 1,000\/\u00ad for academicians, lawyers, scholars, etc. and for students it is Rs. 700\/\u00ad. In case of co-\u00adauthorship, the registration fee is to be paid by both the authors separately. The registration includes local hospitality except accommodation.
